We’re Hopping Mad

In a city with a steadily growing reputation for craft beers and local breweries, you’d have to be crazy to want to create your own brew. However, we’re pretty crazy and we like craft things, so, brew we did.

Let’s be clear, we were just trying to open a bar. Then one thing led to another, we met our neighbours, we opened the conversation (slash, beers) and hatched a plan to create a beer like no other. Sure, it has bubbles and hops, but it was ours.

Since opening its doors back in 2014, BentSpoke Brewing Co. has paved the way in the Australian beer scene. The brainchild of champion Australian Brewer, Richard Watkins and Tracy Margrain now has over 50 different beers and ciders on the menu, and we’re lucky enough to be one of them.

Straight from the tank to the tap, Braddon Ale is brewed on the same block.

Presenting the Braddon Ale: refreshing, citrusy and on tap exclusively at Midnight Bar.

A true thoughtful creation, Braddon Ale was brewed by the new recruits of Midnight Bar and the expert hop heating team at BentSpoke. Ekuanot hops were used to create exceptional quality and depth of flavour, making it the ideal afternoon ale for a Saturday or Sunday sesh.

This bespoke beer for us symbolises all the good things. New friends, new creations, local talent and the strength of an idea. Now we just need to figure out a way to bottle it, so we have an excuse to pop the top off a cold one with our bespoke René Linssen brass M bottle opener

Enlivening Elouera Street, Midnight Bar is the place to see and be seen. From midday to midnight, we welcome friends to come in, settle into our space and experience the city’s newest brews with us.
